UBC Totem Commons Block

UBC Student Housing and Hospitality Services engaged Public Architecture and Communicatio to design and renovate the public areas of this Student Block. AEspaces involvement was the design of furniture that consisted of refreshing the ground floor lobby, lounges, and adjacent offices of the Coquihalla Commons Block.

The furniture design focused heavily on complimenting the warm interior spaces without losing functionality and aesthetic value. Many collaboration spaces were created along the perimeters of the gallery hallways and designated areas.

Its is important to point out the visioning sessions with students became the main driver of the design.
