The new Research and Innovation Office at Koerner’s Library is a beautiful 4,200 SF project finished in collaboration with Public Architecture and UBC.
This project required about 50% of recently bought furniture to be relocated and reconfigured and for the other 50% to be seamlessly coordinated. Reconfiguring existing furniture that was originally designed for a closed Office environment did not prove challenging thanks to the collaboration between the designer and the furniture vendor. We maximized the use of existing storage units by stacking them to form collaboration spaces as well as to define spaces between the small departments.
